I hate you guys. Already bought the game once and now I feel that have to buy it again! For shame!

Also, need a third monitor.

The game is good, but almost all the exclusive Xbox games are overhyped, from my own experience. The less exclusives they have, the worse it gets.

I'm horrible at these games, so every fight is a brand new challenge, never gets repetitive

EDIT: Anyone else seeing the odd graphical glitch like invisible walls and/or clipping? I just updated to the latest beta drivers to see if that helps.

While the game was very enjoyable on the 360, it was ugly - there was no V-sync, it suffered from low screen and texture resolution and occasional frame rate issues which really highlighted the 360's ageing hardware against the expectations of a PC Gamer used to a high end PC. I lamented at what might have been and so I jumped at the chance to play it on PC and picked it up on Steam. While the released version of Alan Wake may not be the originally envisaged concept from Remedy (as they had to make a lot of design concessions to keep Microsoft happy), the PC version looks and plays very well and in terms of it's visuals, is everything that I had hoped the 360 version would be but wasn't. IMHO its excellent value at half the typical price of a new PC title, I recommend everyone who liked the Dead Space and Resident Evil games to check it out.
Agreed. Good news on the cost too.

On another note, I just switched drivers from the 295.51 betas to the new 295.73s. Very smooth, no odd graphical glitches like I had before and I have almost everything set to high now. Good job on this driver set Nvidia.

The game is fantastic. Terrific atmosphere and some genuinely frightening situations if you just suspend your disbelief and turn the lights out. Gorgeous scenery when you can see it for the day time sections. Don't rush through this one, soak up the atmosphere Nothing scarier than running through the dark with no more ammo and then running out of breath while trying to dodge an axe in your back.

I'm at 6 hrs and have only barely started episode 3

Also i was having trees flickering like the old 8mm camera effect, but i found turning off Ambient Occlusion in the Nvidia CP stopped it

This Game is going on my favorite games of all time list.

While not ideal for some people, you can get rid of the tree flickering by limiting the framerate to 30fps through nVidia Inspector, and that way you can keep AO on. I prefer framerate limiting because (1) I prefer lower framerates as I find them more cinematic, and (2) I'm using a controller so I don't notice any movement/look lag.
