That's what I was thinking, Although it did put a lot of new drivers in when I changed the slot. PCi bridge etc. So wether one of them was playing up I don't know? May switch it back and see what happens. I'm just happy it's working now. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated.

I'd be trying everything.

Whatever the bios is set to see first, try the other one.

swap cable

try an hdmi cable

try another monitor

Any issues of any kind with games you didn't have before?

Make sure PSU leads are configured correctly....

Just tossing out anything I can think of to try.

Yeah it's just getting time to do it.
Just had a look at my bios which is an eternity out of date. Version 1303 which dates back to 03-03-2009(although not given me any issue untill now.)

Going to get a mini displayport-displayport cable and see if that helps.
Maybe a CPU reseat.

The annoying/good thing is it's running perfect once it has booted. No issues.

Don't bios have to be rewritten to recognize specific models sometimes? I don't know enough about that to say for sure, but that's the first thing I would try. Asus bios update utility is very easy to use and you can always roll back if needed.
