iPad 3/HD Event

Anyone else excited to see what Apple has up their sleeves today?

I expect . . .

* iPad of the same size as the iPad 2.
* 4G LTE
* 2x or Quad Core A5 (can't remember if the A5 is dual core or not)
* High res display
* Possibly a cheaper iPad 2 option around the $399 range?
* iOS 5.1 Update / Release Date

I don't expect to see a 8" iPad or anything crazy like that. Rumor has it that a new Apple TV will be unveiled today as well.

A5 is dual core. The ipad 3 is supposedly going to be slightly thicker.

I thought it was dual core. Then the iPad 3 should be double that.

Thicker eh? I still think that it will be the same size/thickness as the iPad 2. But I could be wrong

Yea the rumors are the ipad3 will be quad core with a slightly thicker case, higher res, maybe Siri.

My wife will probably want one to replace her ipad 2 but I already told her the iphone 4s she just got means she is not getting the ipad3 at all. She just looked at me and smiled...
God help me.

Very interesting. It's kind of "anti-Apple" to make a thicker device ya know?

Should be a good lunch hour today with the Apple event. Haven't missed one for 6 years lol.

What improvements have you guys heard about with iOS 5.1?

Camera slider on lock screen for quick access (instead of tapping home button twice)
Supposedly more battey fixes
Siri Japanese language support
better Siri integration (to tell it to turn off bluetooth, raise volume etc.)
New Mail Keyboard (The keyboard available in the Mail app is slightly redesigned and now includes an @ symbol for faster address entry, among other things.)
Notes app may now have rich text formatting
3G toggle
ITunes match over 3G

Zoomy will be happy about iTunes Match over 3G. He is the only person I know who uses that lol.
