Theres no reason to not oc. Also 2700K is a complete waste of money if you don't click that oc button which is how simple it is now,
overclocking has become consolized ![]()

It really is a waste not to overclock since they come with a unlocked multipler and were made to over clock. You will need a better heatsink fan then the stock so tempertures will run cooler. It will overclock with the stock ,but it not a great HSF.I would go with G.Skill Ripjaws X Series since it is cheap and overclock well at least the ones I have do .The DDR3 1333mhz 7-7-7-21-1.5v and it will do 1600mhz just fine with raised timmings. The 16gig set I have will do 1866mhz with 10-10-10-30-1.5v .It will do higher if I start increaseing the voltage. But I never had no complaints with my Corsair memory that I have own.

Even if corsair ram fails then the lifetime warranty that comes with it can't be sniffed at and as ive just found out there customer service is excellent and the RMA procedure is effortless. I had a stick of 1GB dominator 8500C5D fail on me...It's over 6 years old and corsair have replaced it no problem.
