Default EDID parsed incorrectly?

Hi,
due to the fact that EDID seems to report incorrect size for my screen (Clevo P150HM laptop fullHD screen) I am having problems with totem. xdpyinfo shows the following:
Quote:
$ xdpyinfo | grep dimensions
dimensions: 1920x1080 pixels (351x191 millimeters)
This is close but wrong, the actual size is 345x194 mm. Is the EDID lying, or could this be caused by parsing error by the nvidia driver? EDID attached.

Default Re: EDID reports incorrect size?

Hmm, to me it seems that the 351x191 comes from recalculation of bits 21 and 22 from edid, which are given in centimeters and thus inaccurate.

edit: it seems to be the case. I fetched the edid using nvidia-settings and parsed it using monitor-edid, here is what I got:
Quote:
$ monitor-parse-edid edid.bin
EISA ID: LGD0215
EDID version: 1.3
EDID extension blocks: 0
Screen size: 34.5 cm x 19.4 cm (15.58 inches, aspect ratio 16/9 = 1.78)
Gamma: 2.2

Could anyone from nvidia please comment on the issue? Should I post a proper bug report?

This is still a problem after upgrading to Fedora 16, with 285.05.09 driver. nvidia-bug-report-log attached.

Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam: still a problem with 290.10 drivers.

Still no change in 295.33. Is this a design limitation?
