I know with the skyrim HD2K texture mod and a few other high res texture mods, it will consume over 5 gigs of system memory.

Yeah this monitor is world of difference from my old Samsung 20 inch @ 1680x1050. Colors are so vibrant and popping out, brightness out of box though had to be toned done was burning my eyes after a few hours of playing. Kept going back and forth between 25 and 27 inch, but ultimately my space was limited and 25 inch is perfect for the area where my PC is.

Speaking of which ones to get, how do I tell how many heads a certain card supports at the same time?
They all have a million outputs and the specs don't say how many work at the same time.

will do. I may have to wait until I get a 680gtx until I can use it. My little rinky dink Quadro NVS290 doesn't support dual link DVI so I'm wondering if the monitor will actually even work without a better card.
In the meantime, here's a huge thread on OC forum discussing it and other korean 27 inchers. http://www.overclock.net/t/1228729/b...k-3view-pb2700 Edit: Looks like the Quadro FX 4800 I'm using here in my office computer will support it so I may use it at home until I get the 680.

yep I've bought quite a bit from them. good peoples. and thanks for the heads up. I just placed an order for an EVGA 680 with them. Expected delivery in 30 days though ಠ__ಠ
seems like they're placing orders and just shipping out orders whenever they get stock in. Newegg is sold out of all theirs except the galaxy brand one. I went with EVGA in case I want to use their step up program for the 4 gig version (which I'm willing to bet I won't need but just in case...)
