Default Powermizer stuck at low performance level

What is the secret behind powermizer going not to maximum performance level? We have lots of reports about video playback issues. Currently I am investigating this on Shuttle XS35GT V2. NVidia driver 195 was the last working. Versions > 195 won't let the GPU to maximum performance.
A solution is very welcome.

I'm having the same problem and kernel issues mean that using the old driver is not an option. Dumping the Shuttle and moving to other hardware would be an unfortunate solution.

Same issues here (Shuttle XS35GT V1). This affects performance of XBMC, VLC etc, basically all video playback under VDPAU on the Shuttle.

According to this thread you know what the problem is : http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show....php?p=2478085

...and your driver versions < 195 do not have the problem.

PLEASE look at this - a solution would be very much appreciated and help keep ION a recommended platform for htpc users...
