The permanent copy exists on the cloud in GMAIL servers that I access on a laptop whenever I want too. This "ability" is more of a tech demo and really offers no real world use.

Why would I want an app that would allow me to transfer file attachments to my laptop when I can just log in on GMAIL via my laptop and download it directly.

Weren't you just arguing that iphone is better because it needs less modification?

Exactly. I didn't need the modification on my phone so I deleted it.

Yes we did, a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and a Garminfone. The Garminfone is now being used in my wife's car as strictly a gps and it does a fine job there. My Galaxy S is sitting in a bag next to my computer awaiting a hammer or something, I don't know.

Of course it does. You don't always have access to the cloud, especially on an iphone which cannot function as a wifi access point without jailbreaking, which you just said rather emphatically that you don't do. (stock android supports wifi tethering btw)

Actually Rakeesh it says I am able to use my iphone 4S as a wifi hot spot to tether to my computer if I want. I have to pay Sprint for that just like T Mobile wanted me to pay them to do it on my Android phone.

lol wut... You go to settings and turn on wifi hotspot. You don't have to pay for anything.
