No that's just an analogy. Mac users didn't know the feature existed, so it was unimportant to them. That is, until they tried it, and realized just what they were missing.

The bloatware and outdated firmware on my phone are annoying because of the reduced performance, but it still does everything I need fast enough. Having to install iTunes on my PC on the other hand.... hell no!

No idea, I don't know all iphone users. I had Swype on my Android phone and liked it. I got my wife a similar program on her Android phone (I forget the name) but she didn't like it.

I use Swiftkey X. Best text predictor out there. It learns from the words and phrases you typically use and it predicts things based on parts of speech as well as what it looks like. It's a great program.

Two things my Android can do that Apple won't allow.
Silent Time Lite - I set a time where only people on a whitelist make my phone ring. No more 3AM wrong numbers! Shush! - When I set my phone to vibrate I get a popup that allows me to keep it quiet for an amount of time that I choose. Two very useful Apps that aren't even allowed to exist in the iOS universe since they directly tie in to the core functions of the device. |

I didn't care for Swype myself when I had my Droid. It just felt more natural (and faster IMO) just to type it out and use auto-complete.

Whenever I type up quick email messages on my iPod Touch I have issues. It predicts about 95% of the words I use correctly, but those other 5% drive me crazy lol. Maybe there's a shortcut I'm missing... |
