Totally understandable at that price.

I am planning to buy the GTX 690 nvidia beast and using it exclusively on Linux.
But the latest beta Linux drivers (300 something) do not seem to officially support this card. Does anybody know when this official support will arrive? Till then I do not buy this card and I will be waiting. |

Its a really nice card and all, but I just don't understand why you would release something you cant make enough of.
You cant even buy a 680 right now....and its not looking good down the road, I'm already half way to a 690 by being one of the lucky ones that was able to get a 680 ![]() I think they should of waited until there was a decent supply of 680's...before releasing another almost impossible to get GPU.

Not that I'd ever bother with dual GPU again, but for others on the fence, maybe take a look at this. It's in german, but the graphs are very self explanatory.

True, but many sites like HardOCP and Hardware Canucks are reporting that the 7979 in Crossfire looks superior on paper but in reality SLI feels better than CrossFireX, it feels smoother, and is more fluid?
I can't really comment either way since I don't own a 7970 crossfire setup to test for myself, but at least they are available to buy unlike the 680/690s. All i really want is a new driver from Nvidia for my GTX 680 SLI ![]()
