I'm saying in the Apple appstore, there are iPhone/iPod Touch apps, then there are iPad apps. Universal means you buy one (iPhone version) and you can download the iPad version onto your iPad for free.

Other apps the iPad version is separate to the iPhone version and you have to buy both, or just buy the iPhone version and put up with a layout for iPhone and upscale graphics on the iPad.

It sucks, but not really Apples fault as it's at the devs discretion.

It's like in the Android Market/Play, you have Quick Office Pro, then if you want the HD version for Honeycomb Tablets and above it's a separate purchase.

Oh. I don't own an iPad and I just installed ICS on my Kindle so I didn't know that.

That's kinda lame. With android there are *some* apps that have a separate tablet with higher resolution, and then phone version, but all tablet versions are compatible with phones anyways, just like all phone versions are compatible with tablets.

The HD version works fine with an ICS phone, the only reason that one didn't work with phones earlier is because honeycomb APK's aren't backwards compatible with 2.x.

I tried miui once...couldn't really get into it. It makes the phone feel a bit too...plain.

The "pure google" version of android is awesome though, I really like my gnex.

That's odd you say that because MIUI is probably the most feature rich and customizable rom out there.

MIUI wasn't my daily driver for the DInc, but it was the first rom to have a consistently fluid UI on the device. They're having issues with the RIL for the Rezound on ICS since the binaries aren't in the wild. S-OFF is achieved via paperclips, as well...
