I've got a 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 for Win7 with 2 1TB drives for games and data and I love it. Going from HDD to SSD is a huge bump.
I've got a Mac Book Pro (pain in the ****ing ass P.O.S. Crapple) at work that has a 120GB SATAIII SSD (not sure of the brand) and it's of course screaming fast as well. Myself and 3 friends started our own business and it's starting to take off, just signed up a HUGE client. So, why not set myself up with a nice machine to work with... Sandy i5 @ 4.4Ghz, 16GB of memory, 120GB OCZ Vertex 3, EVGA 560 (this isn't for gaming), and 2 Dell U2711 monitors running Ubuntu 11.10. After applying some tweaks to fstab for performance and trim, it's just SICK how fast this thing is!!! Seriously, if you've got an SSD you've just got to give Linux a try with it. I don't even know how quickly it boots up... login is waiting for me when the monitors finally fire up ![]()

Make sure you do backups regularly if the SSD is your main boot drive.

Only because my OCZ died without any warning. In the morning it was perfectly fine. Went to boot the PC in the afternoon and the drive was dead.

Time to RMA this damn thing. It's just 2 months old.Never had a problem flashing my Intels. I have 5 X25M-G2. Never again OCZ. Will stay with either Intel or Kingston. You get what you pay for.
