302.07 no resume from suspend

Screen stays black upon resume from suspend. Never had that problem before. Switching to vt1 causes reboot or kernel panic. No bug report for that reason. This is on Ubuntu 8.10 running 2.6.39-3-generic with a GeForce 8400M GS.

Confirming.

It's a major bug and regression.

Linux Kernel 3.3.4-x86, NVIDIA drivers 302.07, NVIDIA 8800GT.

The system seemingly resumes (fans/HDD start working), but it's actually dead (the display is off, the keyboard doesn't react to any key presses).

Tried it here to on two of my computers, the one running a 9800GT locks up on resume and the other one running a GT520 resumes just fine.

I can confirm that here ... GTX285 X hangs on resume and eats 100% CPU (I can ssh into the system at this point).

All older drivers are working fine (running 295.49 now).

I can confirm this issue with dual GeForce 8800 Ultra GTXs.

For now, I've just reverted to using 295.49.

No problems at all with resume with linux-3.4-rc4 , q4000m and 302.07

Resume hangs on bringing X back up, reboots after 10 seconds or so. tuxonice, linux 3.2.13, card is 9300m. 295.49 works fine
