Hi!
I am planning to buy the GTX 690 nvidia beast and using it exclusively on Linux. But the latest beta Linux drivers (300 something) do not seem to officially support this card. Does anybody know when this official support will arrive? Till then I do not buy this card and I will be waiting. |

Usually, apart from the card's PCIID that could be missing in current drivers, dual GPU cards of already supported GPU's simply just work.

The just released 295.49 explicitly states GTX690 support in the changelog. So if you have insane loads of cash
, go for it. |

Thanks for the replies!
In the Linux world, I have enormous respect for the official Linux drivers from nvidia. Yes, I would rather prefer to pay serious attention for the open source drivers that are not official supported (the so called nouveau project) but anyway their binary blobs are far ahead from what ati offers! It seems that I will buy GTX690 after all! |
