I played TL2 beta this weekend and the graphics are totally different. Good but different.
Everything in the environments in D3 have ten times as much detail and D3, despite having that same watercolor~y painted aesthetic, is WAY darker in mood and much more of a gruesome and bloody environment. The overall level of detail that blizzard put into the environments has REALLY impressed me.

Honestly I think the graphics in TL are better than TL2. That being said, is it possible this beta is based off an older version?

I don't think visuals play that much of a role in a action RPG. To put so much detail in a game of such is sacrilige and often goes unnoticed.
No lag, no error 37 and no Blizzard = win Gonna pre order TL2. |

Yes it can also be possible that we aren't provided the higher res graphics for the beta since the download is so small (less then 800mb which is smaller then TL1).

I am trying to finish up my character in the first to get ready for the second. I'll be down for some co-op too.

EDIT: Btw, I do think the beta isn't giving us the entire retail product. The install size is stated at 1.2GB on steams product page... My beta install is 808MB. http://store.steampowered.com/app/200710 |
