Default I havent found anything

I have the same problem. I'm trying to install on a dual Opteron with a Quadro FX 2000 and I can't get the kernel module to install.

It's really annoying to pay 9K for a system and not being able to find drivers for it...
Just great.

Default AMD 64, suse 9 and 4499

Hi, did you solve the problem already?

Ive the same configuration. I used the patch mentioned
in the Suse-Howto, build the nvidia-driver and
inserted Option "NvAgp" "1" into the device section
of /etc/X11/XF86Config. The xserver works fine,
but still no 3d-support is available.
3Ddiag says: no 3d-Hardware,
glxinfo | grep "direct rendering" gives "yes",
but glxgears reports 50 fps which is obviously to

any idea?

Send a message via Yahoo to cwall64

I am not that concerned with the slowness, it is related to runing in PCI mode (AGP fix was just put into the 2.6.1_rc2 gentoo kernel yesterday & it works great), but in SuSE with the instruction from SuSE and nvidia 4499 drivers I still get frequent X lockups - is anyone else seeing this?

Just update the kernel to 2.6.1-rc2, install module-init-tools and reinstall ther kernel drivers - that's all, and you'll have AGP fully working.
