New Union - Post-Apocalyptic RPG Shooter set in Russia

New Union is an upcoming third-person role-playing game set in an alternate historical reality in Russia, being developed for the PC. Scheduled for release in 2013, the title is set in an open world free for you to explore. Below are some screens, and while we don't know what engine the developers are using, the game looks good indeed. You play as a Soviet officer traversing through a post-nuclear Russia while attempting to survive anomalies, mutants and other diverse enemies. Sounds like a healthy mixture of Fallout and STALKER to me; we'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

I'm starting to think there are too many Post-Apocalyptic games now. And this will be the 3rd one based in Russia after Stalker and Metro 2033. Not got all that much interest for it myself, because this type of game has been done to death now. Looks nice graphically though.

Apparently, this is the "rumored" game being developed by former STALKER/GSC World developers.

People have been saying this about corridor shooters, and spaceship settings for years.
If they can pull it off, I doubt someone will be put off just because the setting may be similar to STALKER or Metro.

looks good. hopefully if they're using the stalker engine, they made it feel less clunky and made it more fluid feeling.

I really liked the stalker/fallout games so hopefully this one is done properly. I'd buy.
