No I mean like long before you actually need to turn.

On android it does actually do individual lanes now that I think about it, at least on the freeway anyways where the ramps for certain exits aren't always where you expect them to be. (it's not necessary on regular roads here though as they are all modern design - namely a perfect grid - it's basically impossible to get lost here, so I wouldn't really know the depth of that feature.)

How cool would it be to ask Siri for a Dr. Pepper and she would pull up a map of the area and lead you to a place that sells Dr. Pepper? Instead of the Siri voice for the turn by turn directions it could have Rakeesh's voice. If at all possible I would love to see that with ios6.
Also wouldn't it be nice to have Darth Beavis voice lead you to any green neon plastic in the area?

I don't know what you're talking about, I fix and upgrade laptops all the time. There's even a standard form factor for the graphics cards in most laptops.

Besides, usually those upgradeable notebooks are quite in a different form factor.
And at least here, it would be quite though to find the needed hardware, even the modular GFX cards, not to mention the displays and stuff like that.

HP, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, Asus...

And the intel ultrabooks follow a common form factor accross all brands.

And apple doesn't even so much as use standard memory or hard disks. It's like going back to the early 90's when OEM built PC's always required custom parts. Screw that garbage.
