Have you tried 800x600 for your tv, not many graphics cards handle higher resolutions
for tv out. In fact I have used tv out under Linux with the following cards: Geforce2 MX 400; Geforce4 Ti 4200; GeforceFX 5900. None of them would accept a higher than 800x600 resolution for tv out. |

Hmm, it's maybe because my english. So the screen appears on the TV. If you watch a movie it is even enjoyable. But if you see a graphical desktop is is unreadable. (indistinct, dim or faded - don't know what is the correct). Can the TV focused (to get a clearer picture)?
BTW yes, I tried and in 800x600 this is the same. |

Sorry that I'm affraid is normal its because the televisions resolution is only about half that of a monitor, less than 360x240. besides televisions work in a differrent way they use lines. Anyhow I really have very little idea about how exactly it works. Basically a television hooked up to a pc is only usefull for video or games. |

Ok, then it is normal.
Could you tell me why (If dual head is activated in XF86Config) national characters (like é á ő ) are messed up, when I return to the text console? |

I dont really know sounds like something to do with the fonts and how xfree handles them. try upgrading xfree is really all I can suggest. I dont think its an nvidia gripe... but
I'm probably wrong. |

This is only appearing with nvidia driver (XFrees nv dirver doest not do this), and I have the most up to date XFree.
Do you know which X modules handles the cleanups? |
