302.17 and total PC freeze on 7600GT

Hello, I have a problem with 302.17, and the rest of 302 family. My PC gets frozen in a random ocassions. It just froze, while I was watching a movie.

Before, it would freeze always when I play browser game "Lord of Ultima" from Chromium browser (I didn't try Firefox or Opera). But that was with earlier versions of 302 driver, with 302.17 I manged to play that game without a problem for 2 days, and now it happend when I was watching a movie with smplayer.

The freeze is so bad, that even "Magic SysRq REISUB" doesn't work.

I had 2 freezes yesterday too (7900 GS) while playing Bastion. Will post bug-report log later. On 295.x I haven't had such problem.

Same problem here, although I've been noticing this only with 302.17. Complete freezes out of the blue, power button is the only way out. 9800M GTS, kernel 3.4.4.

I examined the system logs when it happened again today, sometimes there is something in the logs, sometimes there isn't.
Unfortunately, this is all I can get.

Yeah I have the same issue. A LOT of people are having the same issue right now. Nvidia's interest in the matter seems null, they arent responding to most threads or claiming they cant reproduce it and that's it.

Just curious what kernel and processor are you using?

T9550, kernel 3.4.4 with BFS, I also had this issue on 3.4.4 with RIFS-ES, 3.4.3 and IIRC even 3.4.2.

I have 3.5-rc4 with PREEMPT + 1000Hz. I tried 302.xx versions with 3.5-rc1 and 3.5-rc3.

This happend with 304.22 beta too. Don't know what is the problem. I wasn't doing anything special, just surfing the web. The only weard thing I noticed is, that it happend 24 hours after I installed the drivers.
