I have an Asus V9520 (FX5200) card in a Biostar IDeq 200N barebones PC (Athlon). Whenever I try to run an OpenGL game (TuxRacer) or watch a DVD with Xine, the machine locks up. Everything just freezes on me.
If I pull the V9520 and use the onboard nforce card, everything works fine. I tried plugging in an Asus 4200Ti card, and again, everything works fine. Nothing suspicious in the XFree logs. I'm running Mandrake 9.2 with the 2.4.23 kernel and the NVidia video card drivers. Any ideas? Has anyone else had any problems (or success) with this card? |

Fixed, thanks to Zinx on #nvidia.
Using AGP 4X instead of 8X fixed everything. |
