Don't know much about printers. Looking for one for the home. I would want wireless, in the $50-$120 range. having a built in scanner would be nice but not a necessity. Just for general printing purposes. Any recommendations?
Thank You

The HP officejet 8600 series is fantastic for all around printing. The lowest end model will drop into the $99-$149 price range from time to time.

My experience is that most recent middle to high end inkjet printers will deliver.
Print quality will be great for moderate amount of prints and occasional photo prints (with photo paper). Canon tends to sell their inks cheaper though, so it makes it a better deal in the long run. Still running a iP4000 canon printer after 5+ years and it's still printing great.

Cool. It takes a lot of work to calculate the cost of ink for these things lol.

Thanks Mike. That does look like a nice printer. So here is my quick story.
I purchased a Canon PIXMA MG5320, set it up printed a few photos. Photos look really good, not too far off from film to my eyes. I had this printer for about 7 days. Printed a few text pages here and there, in total I printed 7 4x6 photos and about 12 text pages. I check the ink levels and some of them are halfway down already! Whenever I would go to print that printed would go through a cleaning process before it printed. Figured it was eating ink from that IDK? I do not like to return things but I returned that printed, it's an ink hog! And at $25 or so for a single cartridge (It had 5 or 6) I cant afford that. So I did some more research and purchased a HP Photosmart 6510 yesterday. Don't know if it's an ink hog yet but the ink is cheaper. however the photo quality is not as good. Thats ok, i really wanted it for general printing anyway. Hope your Canon don't eat ink like mine did Mike, it was crazy.

Many times printers don't come with full capacity ink cartridges.
