Reserved for massive update tomorrow.
I ve got a day off, my friend is lending me his case tomorrow, I m making a home depot run as well. Being wildly optimistic I d like to say that by the end of tomorrow I have my current rig up and running in my temp case and my old/current case is preped to be taken apart completely.

Update. I have my new antec psu (the one I linked to in eariler post), my friend has lent me his case and I have all of my suppiles. I just have had no ****ing time to do anything regarding the project. Ugh. Big update planned for sat, first day I can breathe all week.

 The transplant was 100% successful. It was just a quick and dirty (tons of dust) job, as I have not yet reapplied thermal paste or replaced the motherboard battery as of yet. The temp is a wonderful gaming case that sounds like a hurricane. I don't know why my friend no longer uses this case, but I m very grateful that he lent it to me. Yes I m a bit nuts to not just say "**** it" and scrap the old sonata in favor of towering beauty. What can I say, I like silence. In further news the new psu is working 100% and I have all of my supplies ready to go. Tomorrow the old girl is getting dismantled and submerged in goo gone, the first step in bringing back it back to respectability.

Ok well, long story short, I finished the restoration. I m now proud of my computer again.
Things got nuts around here so I never thought about continuing with updates. The project itself was not walk in the park either, as my inexperience with spray paint leading to me repainting it several times.
