Default Touchscreen in portrait mode: offset with nvidia driver > 295.40

Hi,
I am running an Ubuntu 12.04 with kernel 3.2 and nvidia driver 295.40 from ubuntu repository with an elo touchscreen in portrait mode. (with standard usb touchscreen driver)
Everything is fine.
I want to update the kernel now.
When I install kernel 3.5 or 3.8, I have to use nvidia driver 304+, because 295 does not build with kernel 3.5 nor 3.8.
When I use nvidia driver 304+ the touchscreen does not work properly anymore in portrait mode, there is an offset to upper right. It is working fine in landscape.

Can anybody help me in this case?
thanks in advance

f.

Default Re: Touchscreen in portrait mode: offset with nvidia driver > 295.40

Solved.
Don't use xrandr/RandRRotation, but use

Option "MetaModes" "DFP-1: nvidia-auto-select { Rotation=left }"

in xorg.conf.
