Default UT2k Performance...

Is 40ish FPS the standard on UT2k with an AthlonXp 1900/GF3ti500 with the settings on high? And realistically how much would a GF4ti4600 boost my fps at that res and settings?

thats a good framerate with your card. the thing is, ut2k3 automatically detects your system settings, and it selects its own resolution/texture quality at default. however if you select the same settings, a gf4ti4600 would make an extremely drastic difference from a gf3ti500. i'm not exact on the numbers, but you can easily expect 20-30fps boost in certain areas.

At 1024x768, I get 161 fps in the flyby and 56 fps in the botmatch. At 1280x960 with 16x aniso, i get 137 and 55 on the botmatch. The game is very CPU limited.

has anyone else noticed that when you turn up all the settings to highest the announcer yells out "HOLY SH!T!"

is he actually saying that, or am i just thinking that he is?

edit: i circumvented the swear filter, but i have a legitimate question, so i hope it's ok
