Hello everyone,
though the name is "theguru" its what I am not !!!! . I have a problem and need your help guys. I am totally new to linux and have no clues asto whatsoever. I have a Toshiba m35-s3592 Intel Centrino 1.4 Ghz laptop and I managed to install RedHat 9.0 on it. The problem is the display. My monitor is a WXGA one and the supported resolution is 1280*800. I never got the XServer to start which I managed to after much ado. I downloaded the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run and did a "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run ". I still have only 800*600 resolution. What should I do to get the coveted 1280*800 resolution. Thanks in advance. theguru. |
