I just upgraded to the latest 5336 drivers with no problems; graphics work fine. However, upon perusal of the /var/log/nvidia-installer.log file I noticed the following messages:
Code:
-> Validating previous installation:
-> The previously installed file '/usr/lib/tls/libGLcore.so.1.0.5328' has a
different checksum (3880335966) than when it was installed (2303922136).
/usr/lib/tls/libGLcore.so.1.0.5328 will not be uninstalled.
-> The previously installed file '/usr/lib/tls/libGL.so.1.0.5328' has a
different checksum (2612725697) than when it was installed (324366836).
/usr/lib/tls/libGL.so.1.0.5328 will not be uninstalled.
-> The previously installed file '/usr/bin/nvidia-installer' has a different
checksum (3128962176) than when it was installed (155884629).
/usr/bin/nvidia-installer will not be uninstalled.
-> done.
WARNING: Your driver installation has been altered since it was initially
installed; this may happen, for example, if you have since installed
the NVIDIA driver through a mechanism other than the nvidia-installer
(such as rpm or with the NVIDIA tarballs). The nvidia-installer will
attempt to uninstall as best it can. Please see the file
'/var/log/nvidia-installer.log' for details.
Thanks in advance. |

DIsregard this. I uninstalled the driver, then reinstalled and the warning went away..
