Default Combo DVD Recoders?

Im looking for a DVD/CD combo recorder. So far it seems Pioneer 4x DVD-RW/+RW is the way to go. Only $144 on newegg. Can anyone recommend a good DVD/CD recorder? Thanks.

Have loved every min w/ my 708A but the Liteon would of probably been my next choice. btw, be sure to check out CD Freaks its an excellent resource for anything regarding optical drives.

I went to CompUSA during my lunch "hour" and picked up Pioneer A07. Gonna burn a few things tonight see how it performs. Strange thing that there is no IDE cable in the box, just 4 screws, manual, reg card and software CD. Not that I need IDE cables, but i feel cheated It's the thought that counts!

Installed the A07 last night. Burned one DVD, Memorex DVD-R 4x, at 4x :-) That took almost exactly 15 min. Also burned two CDs using TDK 800MB 24x rated media. One image was actually larger than 800MB, overburn with no problems in under 5 min. Second CD, same media, 700MB image in about 4:18. Overall the drive is VERY quiet, freaked me out a bit, as I thought it was dead. I should have more media to test out next week, along with DVD-RW, which should play flawlessly on my new JVC region-less DVD player!
