Default Question about using multiple x screens

Hey,
First off I'd like to say that I am very fresh to linux, and i essentially just kinda formatted windows and threw myself into what i understood to be a fairly simple flavor of linux - Mandrake 9.2. I'm having a problem not with setting up multiple x screens, but using them, essentially I cannot figure out how to control the desktop on my second monitor - i got it setup and whatnot, but i can't get my mouse over to it, do anything to it at all, it turns on/off with my screensaver, and gets locked when i lock my box, and mirrors when im in a low run level, but I can't figure out how to launch programs on it, or do anything on it for that matter - its got its own taskbar and everything...

Is there something I didn't put in my xf86config file when I set it up? Or is there some other variable that I'm not seeing?

video card - GeForce 4 ti4200 w/ 8x agp
driver version - newest one that i could find - 1.0-5336 i believe?
distribution - Mandrake 9.2
processor - AMD Athalon 2100+
motherboard - asus a7v333

If you need any other info from me plz ask, my XF86Config-4 is below.
