ERROR: Unable de load the kernel module "nvidia.ko".

Hi

I just upgraded my kernel to 2.6.3 and was looking forward to install the 5336 NVIDIA driver.

Unfortunately, the installation keeps failing, saying that the nvidia kernel module was built using the wrong kernel source.

Even with --kernel-source-path, the same msg pops up.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

I have the same problem, running Gentoo with a 2.6.3 kernel.

download and install module-init-tools

same problem here too, and I have module-init-tools version 0.9.15-pre4-1
any ideas? i tried one of the older patched kernels and that made no difference.
