Using debian testing, NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run, custom kernel 2.6.3.
Installer gives error message "unable to load kernel module nvidia.ko." Contrary to the suggestion of the supplemental error output, the running kernel was configured with the same kernel source. A manual compile of the driver gives the error "modprobe: Can't open /etc/modprobe.conf Installation failed. depmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented" Help appreciated. Thanks. Attachments. |

Maybe you don't have module-init-tools installed? 2.4 doesn't need it but 2.6 does.
