Question Screen turns black from left to right in Suse 9.0

Hi all,

I'm having a very strange problem with GeForce4 MX 440 under Suse. The screen turns black gradually from left to right. This usually happens after 10min, more or less, after linux starts its operation. Under windowsXP I have no problem, but with RedHat or Suse this happens.

Initially I though it was a virus in my computer, but after formatting the partition and installing Linux again the problem persisted.

OpenGL (glut) compiles and works, thus I don't think there's a problem with nvidia instalation.

Does anyone has any idea how can I fix this? Is this a common bug of GeForce under linux?

Cheers,
Aline
