Thumbs down Nvidia problems under Suse9.0

I have another thread about this subject (Screen gradually turns black from left to right under linux). As no one is answering to that thread I decided to open a new one.

The attached photo shows the problem I'm having under linux.

I have only 1min before the screens turns completly black. Here is my computer description:

video card: GeForce4 Mx440
driver version: 1.0-5336
kernel distribution: 2.4.21-192-default
processor: Pention III 1GHz
motherboard model - Asus TUV4X
memory: 256KB

I receive the following error:
BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window paramenter \x09)

I really need a reply for this thread! I changed my video board by a GeForce2 Mx and I had the same problem. Under WindowsXP I have no video problems.

In thread "Screen gradually turns black from left to right under linux" you can find a XF86Config file and XFree86.0.log file.

Default Confusing problem... confusing threads

It would have been better to post the pic and additional information to the same thread. This would have brought it back to the attention of the board AND kept the information together without creating board clutter.

Anyway, here is a link to the mentioned thread.

My comment on the problem is there.
