Not much of a fan, more of a fan of the genre. I understand it's newtonian flight - so if you point the ship in a direction it'll keep going that way due to inertia even if you cut thrust. Not quite the same feel as Wing Commander but I'm sure it's nothing ridiculously tough.

The gfx don't look bad. I might give it a try - good excuse to hook the sidewinder back up.

Yeah it's a good game but very difficult to control.

Yes it has newtonian flight model ie keep going untill u apply a thrust of jets in the opposite direction to stop or slow down

The hyperspace thrasnport gate and actually going into hypertransport effects are nice. Do not expect bump mapping etc. Just nicish models and decals/textures. It was developed by fans/independents like 2-3 years ago. They were targetting dx7 I think then,

I think I'm going to install it and give it a try. I showed their website to a friend of mine and he liked the screenshots. Not bad for a DX7 *free* game. Why not give it a twirl eh? Besides, I don't think it's a full-on package with 25-30 missions right? Isn't it more of a demo per se with only like 5-6 missions?

Y es dude..only a few missions..of what was done until they decided to drop it. I wish some developer picked it up, spiced the effects a bit and also fuly developed it etc.
