Default UT2004 Cheating =(

These people just piss me off and this is the only reason I havent bought the retail version, cause I afraid that people like this will be playing. The guy was using an aimbot and was nailing people from across the map.

I notice both those top two players have the same frag rate (score/time). If there was cheating, hopefully that behaviour will be detected and fixed in upcoming patches since the author of CSHP is working for Epic now. In the mean time, you may be able to take screen shots and a few notes, or record a demo, and have those players banned from that server, like we do here.

I hate cheaters...I had the same problem in Halo...i duno how they did but some would survive a direct run over by a Hog or a couple of blasts by a Scorpion Tank and would kill U with one pistol shot! I hope UT2K4 doesn't turn out as such

[XLC]DesGarDin almost certainly must be a cheating beotch. Which is a bunch of crap, look at his ping. Even w/that nice ping time he has to do this? Someone needs to slap that f00!

It's going to be UT all over again and constant CSHP patches.

Possibly, but if there are regular patches (as was mentioned in that forum), perhaps they will be integrated into a future version as auto-patch, just like punk buster. The old CSHP version stuff was a pain.

I saw two guys in a server today that had a total speed hack, he was moving 5x faster than everyone else.
he wasn't unkillable, but it really sucked watching him run around picking up every gun and suit of armor before you had a chance to take 3 steps..

why do people hack a DEMO?? i don't get it...

makes me hesitant to buy the retail version if that game is THIS easy to crack..

Well I hope so, last night I was playing this guy who got nearly 50 kills and no deaths, lucky I won before he caught me up, left straight after I said "wow hackers already"

As for punkbuster, a friend of mine who plays SOF2 says it dont do a very good job to stop cheaters.

It does quite a good job as long as you have refs and admins on the server to watch people who seem a bit BS.
