Problem with modes probing

X takes 2 minutes to start, the monitor is flashing, appears that it's probbing modelines and after that, it show up the screen Ok, with everything working. I've tried the two options from the Readme about disabling EID or something else (I'm away from my pc) and still doesn't help. I had the folowing config:

RedHat 7.3 with default packages
NVidia TNT 16 MB
Asus K7M motherboard
Athlon 600 with 256 MB
