Default Help!!! Windows won't start!!!

I was getting some IRQL BSODs on WinXP, so I did a restore (F8 at startup, Last Good Known Config).

When Windows starts up, I only get a black screen with a small dialog that says:

LSASS.exe
The operation requested was unsuccessful.

I click OK and then the system reboots!!!

Please help!!! I am at odds and don't know what to do!!!

Sounds like it could be bad memmory. I have seen both lsas ans irql errrors turn out to be bad memmory.

Download a small memmory test program called memtest86 make the boot disk and use it.

Thanks, but I already fixed it 2 days ago. It was some Windows config issue.

And what was that config issue? And how did you fix it? Inquiring minds want to know.

I basically replaced the files in the c:\windows\system32\config with the files located in c:\windows\repair folder. Voila!!!! But I had to reinstall lots of drivers.
