I have installed linux Mandrake v.9.0.While in the installation process the system would't detect my graphics card (NVidia GeForce 440 MX) and my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX).Whenever I boot, log into my user account and type "KDE" it shows the next message:
"Add Screen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0"(all this in a dos-like command line) I Have found drivers in the NVidia site but I don't know which of the three will do: 1.Linux IA32 2.Linux AMD64 (I have an intel Pentium 4) 3.Linux IA64 Please help because I'm using Linux for the first time and it's really putting me off. Thanks, Kostas |
