I am having problems with nvidia with my (new) lcd display.
This is an: MSI nVidia GeForce FX 5700 and ViewSonic 18" VX800 lcd display Operating systems are both gentoo linux and Fedora Core1. The problem presents with both XFree86 and just released xorg-x11 What happens is that the refresh loses syncronization very frequently, specially if I have a (more or less) complex background and maximized windows. Most times, the resync lasts only 2 secs, but sometimes it turns off the monitor. Another problem presents when I try to watch full-screen movies with any linux video player (be it mplayer, xine or others) in full screen mode, which makes for a fuzzy horizontal lines. (in teh case of mplayer, with any video output except -gl2) Here are my (gentoo) XF86Config and a log file Any pointerwould be very much appreciated. |
