downscaling with xine-lib

Dear all,

I'm using the Nvidia Riva TNT2 video card and the video driver is the lastest version from Nvidia website (so xv is used but not xshm). Also I'm using the lastest version of xine: xine-lib-1-rc3c/3b. The problem is the video output cannot be downscaled. Has anyone met this? What's the workaround? Thanks.

I've tried to change the display settings, including window size, pixel depth, no result.
