Default nforce & screen size & cpu consomption

I'v got two troubles with my nforce(1) based computer with win2000 SP4:

first, since driver 2.45 (same with 3.13) I can't set my screen size higher than 1024x768 so I continue using driver 2.03 which allow me to set up the screen size to 1280x1024 but I would like to know if it is possible to disable this feature with the new driver (I know it was possible with linux drivers, just an option for the xf86config file)

second, I've got a constant very high CPU consomption, about 60% when nothing else than windows' running and I think that come from the nforce driver since the problem appear just after finishing installing drivers and rebooting .. so does anybody knows this problem and what can i do to

thanks in advance

sorry for my english
