I hade a Asus v6800 Deluxe (gefore 256) in my box but now i upgraded to a Pixelview gefore2 mx 200. The prob is that the performance on the new card is LESS than on the old card
![]() Im running 2.4.19 Debian tryed all the nvidia drivers avail on the page all compiled from source. with NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960 i got the following results with my old card. 9645 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1929.000 FPS 10459 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2091.800 FPS 11066 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2213.200 FPS with NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960 and the new card i get (about the same numbers with the other versions of the driver. 9645 frames in 5.0 seconds = 529.100 FPS 10459 frames in 5.0 seconds = 621.300 FPS 11066 frames in 5.0 seconds = 530.400 FPS I alos did a test in Unreal2003demo and i see about the same results there 1/3 of the performance. I tested bot with agpgart and nvidias own. I get no errmsg what so ever in either logs. Any ideas ? what perfomance is expected with that card ? could it be a non linux friendly card ? will test it in win aswell. /Chrisz |
