6800 => new Linux drivers?

Now that NVIDIA has released the GeForce 6800, which is supposed to support Linux, does this mean that they have also released updated Linux drivers? If so, where are they? If not, does the GeForce 6800 work with 1.0-5332 for AMD64?

Well we won't see drivers till the 6800 is out so at the ealiest i figure the end of next month. if there aren't official ones released PNY might have a beta driver set available for their quatro cards.

I guess so too. I just hope when those get released they also include a fix for the 4kstacks problem...

I'm hoping for new drivers to be posted ASAP... Last I tried benchmarking the drivers were *slower* under a 64-bit environment than in a 32-bit one.

Well here is how i look at the 4stack problem.....Fedora Core 2 will be released May 17th.....the 6800 series should be out around then to shortly there after. Finally nvidia has always had fairly good support for redhat offering rpms for them and such for several years. Since this is the direction redhat/fedora is going I'd feel fairly confident that nvidia's next release will offer "official support for Fedora Core 2" or something of that nature and fix the 4stack problem. Im just hoping that there are linux drivers out when the card is actually out rather than 4 or 5 months later.
