unless it could be your monitors vsync values, i have installed redhat 9 (last night as a test) to see if it installs, and the graphical installer worked fine for me,(i have the fx5200ddr i had no issues with X, and even with the NV driver, it works. The only thing i can think of is maybe your monitor is incorrectly reporting its V+H sync rates via dcc?? If possible, try another monitor, and make sure it supports at least 1027x768 @ 60hz, otherwise you need a new monitor

That was'nt so bad. Thanks for your help...

PS: Monitor = 19" NEC 97F (1600x1200) no problem
