Default Crash when leaving X with CTRL-ATL-Backspace

If you have a problem, and would like help, please follow the following steps:

1) Please start a new thread about your problem. It's really hard to track issues if you ask for help in one of the generic threads (like "1.0-4349 released").

Done. Two problems here (with Geforce FX5600 on Asus
P4C800-E Deluxe, Nvidia-Driver 1.0-5336 on SuSE 9.0,
vanilla Kernel 2.4.26).

1.) When starting X (fvwm2) from console (without framebuffer, vga=normal in lilo.conf), everything works
fine, except of non yet configured fonts. But when leaving
X and switching back to console with CTRL-ATL-Backspace,
the computer crashes occasionally (non-reproducable). The Monitor wents completely black, no ssh login, no network
at all, only sysrq seems to work. No information about the
crash in /var/log/messages after reboot.

2.) When using the Vesa Framebuffer (vga=0x317), it
works fine in console. The X-server has also no problems,
when running. But if switching back to console (using
either CTRL-ALT-Backspace or CTRL-Alt-F2) there are
only multi-colored rectangles (reproducable). If switching
back to X (alt-F7), X runs OK again. But the console is
unusable all the the time, except before starting X.

I have a similar setup on another computer (same software,
but older hardware Asus P2B-DS, Geforce 2 GTS), which works
without any problems.

2) Please attach a copy of your /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4) and /var/log/XFree86.0.log files where appropriate. If you're not sure if they're appropriate, attach them anyway. The forums now accept attachments with .log endings, so you don't have to append .txt anymore.

See below.
