No matching precompiled kernel interface was founf on the NVIDIA ftp site;
Installer makes a kernel interface.[/list]ERROR: Unable to load the kernel module 'nvidia.o'. This is most likely because... (see attachment)
-> Kernel module load error: Warnig: loading ./usr/src/nv/nviia.o will taint the kernel: non GPL licence - NVIDIA

Other data:
Video card: ATI Radeon 9200SE
Driver version:
Distri: SuSE 9.0
video Bios: none mentioned
Processor: AMD XP 2600+

I've highlighted your problem... don't expect nVidia drivers to handle ATI cards.

Whig,
I know, there are other drivers for ATI Radeon. But I am confussed: originaly SuSE9.0 points to 1.0-4496, conservative as they are. I expect 1.0-5336 to support the motherboard Asus A7N8X-E de luxe: audio, agp and network ports.

Your installing the nvidia graphics driver not the nforce one, besides SuSE9 supports nForce as I heard many a time. There are nForce drivers on nvidia's site for Linux.

Why do you expect the 5336 graphics driver to work on a nForce mobo?

Thanks for your reply. So, if I do understand you well, I do not need 1.0.-5336? That would make things a lot easier!
