Default audio freezes when switching from console back to X

I'm having native alsa drivers for audio and when switch from X to console, the audio just goes on, but when i switch back from console to X, the audio stops for about a second.

I believe the nvidia driver either freezes the whole PC when doing that, or it asks too many CPU resources.

is there anything that can be done to solve this kind of thing
