Default GEFORCE FX 5200: Tv out not working ...

hello all,

I have a ASUS V9520 Magic card... GEFORCE FX 5200.

I am using the new driver 1-0.5336 for my Pentium 4 Linux (suse 9.0, self compiled kernel 2.6.6) system... graphics on my screen are ok, but I can't seem to get the tv out working...

when I connect my computer to the tv, the tv shows the text scrolling by during system startup, but when I start up the X server, the tv screen goes blank (computer screen is ok).

can perhaps anyone tell what kernel options should be compiled in for the tv out to work? or what would the most probable cause be that prevents the tv out function working properly?

thanks in advance for any answer...
