Default FX 5900XT and TV-OUT problems

Hi.
I'm trying to configure xfree in a Twinview setup. But i can't get it to work!

From my X86Fconfig-4
Section "Device"
### Available Driver options are:-
# sw_cursor is needed for some ati and radeon cards
Option "sw_cursor"
#Option "hw_cursor"
#Option "NoAccel"
#Option "ShowCache"
#Option "ShadowFB"
#Option "UseFBDev"
#Option "Rotate"
Identifier "Card0"
# The following line is auto-generated by KNOPPIX mkxf86config
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "All"
BoardName "All"
# BusID "PCI:1:0:0"

## Clone
#Option "TwinView"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-60"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "50-65"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
Option "MetaModes" "1024x768 @1024x768"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,TV"
Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B"
Option "TvOutFormat" "COMPOSITE"
#Option "TvOutFormat" "SVIDEO"
EndSection

When i try this configuation, i get picture on my monitor but not on my tv.
But if i edit ConnectedMonitor so that it read "TV" or "TV,CRT" i get picture on my tv, but then my monitor goes into power off mode!

There are no errors in Xfree86.0.log

How do i get tv-out to work properley so there are picture on poth monitor and tv.

I'm running knoppix 3.4 hd-install with kernel 2.6.5.
I have installed 1.0-5336 Nvidia drivere.

Help!

first make sure you are in 1024x768 resolution.

also, I believe you have to change "1024x768 @1024x768" to "1024x768,1024x768". give it a shot!

uncomment this:
#Option "TwinView"
to be this:
Option "TwinView"

and comment this:
# sw_cursor is needed for some ati and radeon cards
Option "sw_cursor"
to be this:
#Option "sw_cursor"
since you don't have an ATi card.

Hopefully this will help!

It makes no difference if this option is commented, or uncommented.

Tv-out still only works at 800x600

Option "MetaModes" "1024x768,800x600; 800x600,800x600; 640x480,800x600"

Also works, but then the desktop is bigger than the resulotion (in 1024x768)

Option "MetaModes" "1024x768@800x600; 800x600@800x600; 640x480@800x600"

This don't work at all. No tv-out in any of these modes!

hmm...maybe you have to try something more along this:
"1024x768@800x600,800x600; 800x600,800x600; 640x480,640x480"

I think that that syntax means 1024x768 with an 800x600 viewport. I don't think you can have a smaller viewport than the desktop tho, so 640x480@800x600 probably wouldn't work.

After reading this thread http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=14501
I set it up so that i have 2 seperate displays. My monitor at 1024x768 amd tv-out at 800x600. It works quite well. Now i can watch video fullscreen on my tv.

Thangs for the help.
