Default if your nvidia driver worked with original 2.6 kernel, Please say so!

Just to have some change in this forum till NVidia give birth to next drivers

If you have your nvidia drivers provided by NVidia has worked for you without using the 8kstack kernels provided in linuxant or without recompiling your kernel with disabling 4kstack option. (i.e distribution kernel out of the box and nvidia drivers from nvidia), then let us know how this happened.

I will start this, since my amd64 machine worked fine at no hastle.

OS: Fedora Core 2 (kernel 2.6.5 and lately 2.6.6)
NVidia driver:menion.de driver patched for kernels 2.6
xorg.conf file: attched below
system hardware: listed in my signature.

there isn't one either in the any of the config in the config directory:
/usr/src/linux-2.6.6-1.427/configs !

Code:
grep -i stack *.config
kernel-2.6.6-i586.config:CONFIG_DEBUG_STACKOVERFLOW=y
kernel-2.6.6-i586.config:# CONFIG_DEBUG_STACK_USAGE is not set
kernel-2.6.6-i586-smp.config:CONFIG_DEBUG_STACKOVERFLOW=y

It works on SuSE 9.1 - because SuSE did not enable 4k stacks. (Maybe also 4k stacks came in 2.6.5? I know SuSE uses 2.6.4) Even so, I have had "Badness in..." errors, which I believe was caused by a hardware problem.

My system worked 'out of the box' with no problem. I am running a pentium 4 on an Intel MV-850 motherboard. I have a PNY Quadro4 900 XGL graphics card. I have found that it did not work on my other system which has a Quadro4 500 XGL card (blank screen). I did nothing special to set this up either. Just loaded the system, and compiled the nvidia driver. It worked with both the original 2.6.5 kernel and the 2.6.6 kernel. I have attached both my xorg.conf file, and the associated log file. I hope this helps someone.
